If I count it correctly, there are only 4 more floors to go plus the parapet.

I wish we had another 20 floors to go

I love that the glass is that aqua blue. To differentiate with the other new towers.

I was about to say the same thing, I really liked the initial plan for the spire.

I'm still hoping for that to happen. Probably in vain.

I know I've been writing about that few times but still I don't get why the 1WTC's façade hasn't been cleaned yet!

Referencing the topic of this thread, can you imagine if we got the 3WTC depicted? The extra height to the parapet and the spires? This thing could have been a beast in its own right that would have owned any other city other than NYC and Chicago. I think it would have been cool in Philly as the original Comcast Center or it's sister building currently going up.

But I have to be happy with what we got. I do think it's cool how 3 and 4 WTC blend into each other from that angle in the pic before your post. Makes it look like a more solid supertall combo.

The only reduction of 3 from that render is the removal of the spires, the parapet and roof height is still the same.

Is the top of the fins 1080'? I'm not sure how we can reach the height in the render with the core topped out where it's at.

How tall were the spires? About 90 feet, right? To get to 1168'. Was this the tallest ever proposed; I thought there was a higher figure?

In the initial plans with the cross bracing, it was going to be ~1,270', but then got cut to 1,168' with the spires still. Those got cut and now the height will be 1,080'. The parapet extends about 30 feet above where the core ends. The top of the core is essentially the "roof".

I still think that render is wrong and the height will be lower by a couple of floors (unfortunately).

Look at these renderings that were released simultaneously with that night rendering:

Look at the height of the two setbacks compared to 4 WTC, they don't match the real thing so I think in that render the tower still had it's old height.

Also, in those renderings you can see that 3 WTC is about 6 floors + 2 mechanical floors + the parapet taller than 4 WTC. Now if you look at a recent construction photo, that difference is only about 2 floors + 2 mechanical floors + parapet:

But then there's one of the latest renderings of the WTC site (with the new 2 WTC) where the height differences between tower 3 and 4 are totally wrong too, looking at the setbacks, so I don't know what to believe:
