It is a bittersweet feeling knowing that this thread is nearing its end. Really enjoyed following it.

I love the way the side looks in the second picture. The stripes made of stainless steel add so much.

The whole wtc complex is one giant value engineered disappointment imo. For me, it's been one of the least exciting projects in NYC in recent
years

TBF, none of the new WTC buildings deserve to stand where they stand.

I think 1WTC very much deserves to stand where it stands, as well as 4WTC. 3WTC is still great although it would be x10 better with the cross bracing and the spires. The new design for 2WTC on the other hand....

I guess as an outsider my opinion and feelings towards the site are really different to americans, but i'm totally in love with 1WTC,it's shape is really simple yet elegant, but at the same time it feels like a symbol of strength, and the fact that it has the same roof height of the twins is a such a great detail, it reminds you of what used to stand there...
Idk I really love all the decisions taken for 1WTC, but as said before I'm an outsider so I guess I can't understand all the meaning this tower needs to have.
And about the rest of the complex 4WTC is just amazing, 3WTC could be better with the spires but still looks great, on the other hand i agree that the new 2WTC design is just terrible and doesn't fit in any possible way in the area.

I love New York and I miss it dearly, I haven't been there since April ( I live in Boston) and when I was there I made sure to visit the One World Trade Cetner Observatory, back then this thing was only around 800' its amazing the progress that this thing makes.

You're lucky, at least you're close. There have been two decades of my life till now and I haven't seen New York not even once. But I enjoy the photos so much, that's enough.
