The skyscraper build on Maiden Lane might be the only one to have a rather huge impact on LM in terms of optical changes within the skyline. 45 Broad street will have a huge impact too.

Manhattan really needs megatalls now to get back to it´s thin towers 1930s glory, IMO.
I get what you're saying, but this angle also has 1 WTC further back than the other towers (and makes it appear less dominating) . Seen from other angles, 1 WTC definitely commands. This is more evident the further away from downtown Manhattan you get actually. From most places in the city, it definitely does serve as a good navigation/orientation point, just like the ESB does in midtown. It can only achieve this by standing out (height-wise).

I do agree, once the towers go up on the other side of Lower Manhattan, (especially 80 South Street), it will not dominate as much. But that's a good thing. I admire New York not just on the height of its buildings, but on the density of its skyscrapers as well.

Various Photographs I took over the course of 3 days from locations such as Jersey City, One World Observatory, the 9/11 memorial and Brooklyn Bridge. Enjoy!

The first day the weather was pretty bad with rain and fog but the second day was amazing. Blue sky with NO clouds anywhere. The cladding on this tower is so superb, in person even more than in the photos. I cannot decide whether I like 3 or 4 WTC's cladding more.

You can actually appreciate the bracing from NJ. Nice. Wished the northern setback was a bit lower though but other than that this building is magnificent

I was there today and even though this really applies to WTC1, it has a negative impact on the whole WTC site: it seems to me that they underestimated the window washing capacity of WTC1. It just always looks dirty, since it has been completed. They have never been able to clean the whole tower. Even when you look at WTC3, you wonder why WTC1 is so dirty (the contrast between the cleaned areas and the non-cleaned ones is hard to ignore).

As others stated, the cladding of WTC3 is phenomenal, including the bracing. In my view, anything more would have been too much!
