It's effing glowing.
I recommend learning how to take photos at dusk (tricky esp. aerial shoots) rather than saying things that make zero sense.
I bet this guy didn't think it was too dark.

Walk around the narrow blocks near Wall Street. It's almost dead in that area in the middle of the night. And yes, some of the streets are rather dark, but that is because of the narrowness of the streets.

But the context being talked about was taking skyline or aerial photos at night (so from a distance). Not walking in the narrow streets in the middle of the night

Hey, I'm just saying what I saw in real life as opposed to an enhanced photo.

I love downtown. It had my favorite architecture/buildings. But....it is pretty lifeless looking at night. There is no exterior lighting on the vast majority of buildings, and it makes them indistinguishable at night (from a distance).

I agree with that to an extent. I remember how i drove down FDR coming from the height of 34th street, and when I looked out of the front window, the skyline appeared like a huge endless wall of lights. But it was super impressive too.

It seems to me that cladding work on the tower has come to a screeching halt for the last few weeks. Does anyone know why this might be?
