Bittersweet to see this project nearing completion after such a long wait.

Regardless, it seems we'll still have our eyes on the WTC site for another good 5 years.

The 'like' icon is back, but nothing happening when you click. Still in the 'fix' mode.

I'm speculating here, but I can imagine that will all the construction going on in NYC, with Hudson Yards, CPT, Steinway, Tower Verre and others, that there are simply not enough qualified people available to do the job. I would assume that you cannot just hire any construction worker, but that you need really qualified people.

Now I wish they'd left the spires, it would have given the building a distinctive look. Oh well.

To be honest, the exterior bracing just looks awkward and out of place at this point. Without the x bracing and spires that was meant to compliment it, it just looks so pointless. Who knows, maybe in the distant future some generous philanthropist will want to add the x bracing and spires to the structure. . .

On another note, are they going to add similar black bands along the top mechanical floors similar to the ones above the podium? That would actually compliment this building nicely.

The spires I could see coming back.....pretty simple to add them. The X-bracing is another story.

I don't think making 20 skyscraper nerds slightly happier by spending a 100 million dollars would be very high on any philanthropist's list, so I wouldn't count on it.
Bracing looks great in my opinion.
