I guess everyone has an own opinion. :-) I can enjoy it, but a huge element, tower 2 is still missing. I feel like something lacks.

How unfortunate that cladding has come to such a slow crawl.

I wonder whether the Ceder Street portions of the World Center Hotel and 90 West will open up to the newly reopened street. Otherwise, that immaculate elbow-shaped corridor will amount to a dead-zone.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw that picture.

What I also noticed is, if there is a 5WTC someday or any other tower on the lot behind Liberty Park, the views from the W hotel to the WTC complex will be completely blocked. They should cash in on that as long as they can.

From that angle, BIG's ole stack of boxes would add more "mass" to the site but still make 1WTC stand out.

Really wish they could fix this cam:

Hopefully the stack of boxes won´t happen, it could make a joke out of that nice skyline.

3 wtc's pinstripes are gorgeous; they make the tower look so tall and really fit in downtown, with one chase manhattan getting a nod just over to the east. very pleased with how this tower has shaped up!

Taken by me last Friday. We've had quite the foggy April. 3WTC looks good, but 1WTC is doing its disappearing trick again..

If this is referring to 7 WTC then it has been completed & opened since 2006! It was the very first of the new World Trade Center buildings to be rebuilt. Long before 1 WTC and 4 WTC. It's just ignored a lot because it's the shortest of the bunch at only 743 ft, and often not visible in the skyline.

But if you were to put a building of 743 ft in almost any other city in North America it would easily be one of the tallest. I've talked to people that live here that didn't even know 7 WTC had ever even been rebuilt. Only in NYC does 743 ft go completely unnoticed.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see we're talking about something else

the cladding hasn't stopped... they're working on the glass and the cross braces.
