Well, I'd much rather live my life loving the new WTC. I'll never love it more than the Twins but I'm gonna love it. In fact, I love the buildings even now. Just the fact that there'll be no twin to 1WTC still bothers me.

Maybe someday twins will be built again in NYC, even if they are much different, or in a much different location. I'll always have faith in the future.

Come on Dirty New Yorker. You should know there's two sets of twins, in NYC already. The Time Warner and Silver towers.

But they are small. You can't replace huge twins with small ones

I'm aware of those, I drive right by them on the greenway at least once a week. I mean RIGHT by them. I was talking about a new large project, like a supertall.

700 and 600 feet isn't small. And they're not replacements. Even thou Silverstein does own the silver towers lol. Twin Supertall in Manhattan may never happen. And I'm fine with that. Just like I'm fine with the new design of tower 3.

Yes good way of putting it. I can tell you want twins built that actually stand out in NYC. That's why I didn't bring them up. (so do I)

Silverstein is a wonderful, yet subtle large scale builder. That's why I'm excited for 3 & 4 wtc. And I hope the designs are presented nicely as the silver twins are. I kind of brought that up to get back ot

STR: In the picture you posted below, you can see that the cross sections are covering some windows either fully, or partly. Will they just design the inside so that no office space is along the brace, or will there just be no window in that room?

Just asking, which do people think will reach street level first, 3 WTC or 2 WTC?

I think 2WTC is slightly ahead.

There are no permanent rooms in a office building like this. Just the glass facade and the core, with a wide open floor in between. But this should answer your question.

Yep.

Though, that was from the top office floor in the old design. New one will be a bit lower.
