4WTC looks great. It wouldn't look good with white antennas,

I prefer WTC 3 without the "horns". I also like the redesigned exterior better than the original version.

Love the way this tower is turning out.

honestly, 1WTC looks like the ugly mother compared to these two beauties (3&4) and 1WTC is a stunner itself. I hope 2 fits in, (holding my breath)

Still think it would be perfect with the four little spires, shouldn't be impossible to add them again later.

Doubt it as they were probably removed from the plan because it interfered with Larry's new 8K cinema in his penthouse across the way in WTC7.

No but seriously....nah I am being serious.

Now that it's almost finished, I think it's safe to say that it looks WAY more elegant without the cross bracing on the main facade.

the redesign helps make the campus look more cohesive, though that was never the intent in the first place. All of the original designs had unique forms and facades. The individual towers evolved into something more homogeneous, arguably boring.

I look forward to the day when the whole World Trade Center complex is completed.

lets not get carried away shall we, 1wtc may not have the detail of the 3&4 but viewed in person, especially standing centrally at the bottom, the tapered sides seem to never end. it is a great design

The facade looks right and perfect without the cross bracing and as if it had intended to be like that all along, not looking like anything is missing. With the spires however you can see clearly in the parapet that it was designed for them and they were removed later on, like PingAn in Shenzhen, it ends up looking cut off. It'll be awkward to have a building that will forever look unfinished, like a house without a roof.

I don't like the way the parapet is coming out. The horizontal stripes look silly, especially the top row of "fake" ones on the parapet. And it would have been so much better if the stainless steel column covers went all the way to the top of the parapet.

The East and West facades with the bracing and the flat glass look absolutely fabulous though. Really crisp and a great counterpoint to 4 next door.

Those two are simply beautiful, loved the contrast between the red brick and the bluish-grey glass cladding.

well, okay I might have slightly misjudged that, but I don't agree that there is a big difference in design quality between the wtc buildings.

But let us remember, the spires on 3 WTC were removed to fit more with the BIG design that had a flat topped roof. So, maybe if the Foster design is chosen and built the spires might come back on this building. Overall though, I do prefer this building without the large cross bracing across the full facade.
