Again, if they add them, that's great. If they don't, fine by me.
They removed them when 2 WTC was redesigned. They claimed the building would look better without spires as its roof would match that of the flat topped 2 WTC. IMHO I think they will only bring back the spires if the Foster 2 WTC is built, otherwise they will probably leave it as is.

Edit: BTW will that one black window below the vents on the North side be removed, it ruins the vertical stripes and symmetry of the tower. Otherwise it turned out really well, and I think the removal of the main cross bracing makes this tower look better than in the renders.

5 Beekman is such a disappointment when you look at the renderings.

Verizon building needs to go! That reclad is not helping.

Agree if 5 Beekman lopped off the nasty flimsy empty pointy roof's ' things' the building would look so much better. I don't know what possessed them to even contemplate them in the first place?

Ha. I think not!

You can get some twin tower like silhouette with 8 Spruce and 1 WTC.

5 Beekman will be completely blocked by the new Park Row buildings.

Google 25 Park Row. It's the lather of the two currently rising right next to each other.

Thanks but it's nearly 170ft shorter than 8 Spruce Street?

It will block 5 Beekman, not 8 Spruce, which is a stunning tower anyway.

How so? I think it looks fine. I don't want everything to look like a glass box.

8 Spruce looks like it came out of the dryer all wrinkled and needs a serious ironing. Its atrocious.
