Totally agree! Would be awesome if they could install some lights around the perimeters of the memorial pools without disrupting visitors and then beam them up into the sky. Would be an absolutely incredible/poignant sight to see and a fitting location for the tribute of light.

I think hes saying that even if it were possible, that it wouldn't be a good idea. I have to agree with that. While the lights are important for the anniversary... I think it would be focusing too much on the devastation of the past if every single night 365 days a year the lights were on rising from the footprints. Thats just my take on it though.

I think they should be lit from the footprints on only one day of the year: 9/11.

I like how you can still see the cleaner glass on 4 where the hoist had been. That was almost 3 years ago. Still haven't cleaned that face of the tower apparently.
