I'm posting this bit of news because it bodes well for leasing in Tower 3 (and 4... and 1 as well)

7 World Trade Center fully leased

"In a milestone for Downtown in the post-9/11 era, 7 World Trade Center — built by Larry Silverstein in the face of withering criticism and claims it would be a "white elephant" — is now 100 percent leased.

Financial firm MSCI, now based at 1 Chase Plaza, has leased 125,000 square feet in the tower’s top floors, sources told The Post.

The 20-year lease means that the 52-story, 1.7 million square-foot skyscraper across from the actual WTC site is now full except for a few tiny spaces almost too negligible to count.

The tower, built without any presigned tenants, opened in 2006. It gradually drew tenants paying the highest prices ever paid downtown — several above $70 a square foot. The building’s occupants include German bank WestLB and Moody’s."

That's certainly optimistic news. Thanks for posting this

I would rather see tower 2 built and finshed than tower 3. its very generic, #2 design is much better and a lot taller. Let just say i want to see the entire site built. Like the old saying. "If you build it, they will come."

So, WTC7 is fully leased, WTC1 over 50% afaik, so WTC4. This might force bigger companies to lease office space in tower 2 and 3. *fingers crossed*

The core formworks just jumped on the next level so 3WTC is now taller than 2WTC's steel..

That's good news! But, a little bit expensive at 70 dollars a square foot.

Silverstein deliberately left those floors empty so he could charge those rates, and it has now paid off. Durst is doing the same things with the upper floors of 1 WTC.
