You proabably meant Kernel, a mathematical operator often used in Algebra. I myself f.e. had to use the Dirichlet kernel when studying Fourier series.

The best definition of "the core" I know is that core is a spine of the building..Which makes sense because, as the spine protects main nerves in our body inside of her, the same way the core protects main paths in the building..Elevators shafts and stairs..Also, without the spine body wouldn't be able to stand..Almost the same thing is with the building where core gives enormous strength to the building..

You are right about spine definition. Though I'd say that all concrete structure can be considered a skeleton of the building while everything else is additions.

They finally completed the floors surrounding the core up to lobby level!, next is just concrete pouring and steel installation, I wonder when that will happen, I'm so excited!!

Well they are completing the "stump" thats already been confirmed so we will see steel up to the five retail floors, they said by May they will know whether to are goingto continue with the superstructure or not.

They were actually working on this full speed today. Both cranes in action and people putting up the shapes for pouring concrete. I took pictures, today, Sunday:
