^STR has deducted that the final height to the spires will be 1170ft/357m, while the fins/parapet height (which will appear to be the roof) is somewhere around ~1087ft/331m if I recall correctly. The actual roof will be a bit below that.

It's only a 400,000 sq ft lease away. Silverstein has leads but there's fierce competition and the financial firms that are best suited to this property are still shedding jobs. Under normal circumstances this tower would be a fait accompli.

I'm so nervous that this'll end up sitting there unfinished forever just like the Metlife North Building. Lets hope he can get the rest of the tenants.

Can someone explain why that crane is there? It doesn't seem to be doing anything. No structure seems to be going up accept the core and another crane takes care of the core.

So why are they keeping it there when they get rid of other ones so quickly?

Probably because steel will start being installed in a few weeks and they don't want to needlessly dismantle it.

Nice angle in the above shot.

I think this one has a good chance of rising past the podium in the next few months, but I guess we'll have to wait and see...

They probably need to finish the ground floor first?

If that's the case, then shouldn't we reduce the height in the title to 357m? 383m gives a wonderer the false impression that it will be taller than ESB!

Correct

Pinnacle height is 1170 feet (357 m)

Roof height is 1080 feet (329 m)

Floor count is still apparently 80.

Note that many of the world's tallest buildings took years and sometimes decades to fill. Just being famous doesn't garauntee immediate success.
