It will be interesting to see if the Hudson Yards project logistics looks anywhere as smooth when it starts full construction!
What appears to be a clear individualism and independence for each building and structure above ground is in fact a hell of connections below grade.

And that's why I laugh at people who demand a twin of 1 WTC.

They have no idea what lies below grade, specifically, the tunnels connecting all the buildings together.

You can't use Earthcam as a "source" for determining if verticle construction will start. This building will most likely remain the same way for years.

Just wait until an official statement from Silverstein is released, please.

In other words, 2WTC will NOT be under construction before 3WTC
Your statement is definitely not true! It has been stated elsewhere that at the present time, the plan is for 3 WTC to rise before 2 WTC, but if a major client comes forward and wants to locate in 2 WTC, there is absolutely no reason it cannot be completed 1st! Considering many people feel that 2 WTC is a much nicer looking building I would consider this a definite possibility. Larry isn't stupid, he's going to build what the customer wants and if the customer wants 2 WTC, that's what the customer will get!

Just because the podium is built for 3 WTC doesn't mean it has to be completed 1st. As a matter of fact, in some regards, there could be advantages to completing 2 WTC 1st. The biggest of them would be not interfering with the commercial space so it could continue to be used before comparable space was available elsewhere in the project!

3 wtc must be built before 2 wtc because 3 wtcs v=base has already been constructed

I've always wished this was the final product... But the latest progress on 3 is changing my mind.

This guy is nuts (in a good way)! Pity he didn't design 2WTC to its full height, because it looks much shorter than 1WTC.
But other than that, great work.

I love these models. You're right that 2WTC is too short.

The source is just common sense. Like everything else you give the customer what the customer wants. As well, plans are flexible and can change very easily as we have seen many times with this project. Since the foundations exist for both buildings, there is absolutely nothing preventing 2 WTC from being built 1st!

The foundation has been built for both of these buildings. Actually, once the stub of 3 WTC is occupied by retail stores, it would be easier to build 2 WTC 1st, so you don't interrupt the retail operations.

I don't know how you spotted that, but all they've done is move some steel beams.
