They are marking the overall footprint to completely seal the tower's footprint. Beneath this unbuilt area runs one of the subway lines, hence no foundation work.

BIM drawins being fixed per temporary HVAC/MEP modifications. Work here is nearing completition.

This thread saddens me. I have a feeling that even the HY North Tower will pass 2WTC by next year ...

That might be quite likely.

Kingdom tower will be complete before 2 WTC starts a floor.

All jokes aside, lets give Silverstein a few more months, as if we have a choice, i'm sure he'll land a tenant this sometime this year.

It's certainly a contender for Ryugyong Hotel: The Sequel.

After the Hudson Yards towers and 3 WTC got tenants, i´m sure this one has one in the pipeline.

I'd be really surprised if this one got the go-ahead soon. I would think Silverstein would want to get Tower's 3 and 4 nearly full before focusing on T2. If he has three finished towers only partially occupied, it's going to be very difficult to secure the necessary rents to make the towers commercially viable.

But maybe T4 leases up quickly like 7WTC did after it opened. We'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully someone in the press inquires with Silverstein to see what their plans are. Wait for the existing towers to lease up, or go for an anchor for T2 right away.

Both are far from fully occupied though.

2WTC is perfect for companies which need big trading floors. So there is a chance of 2WTC getting a tenant before 4WTC fills up.

Doesn't 4WTC have large floors as well?

Trading floors are the ones located on the podium, T3 and T2 only have these.

A couple of companies that I can think of that are currently looking for large scale space in Manhattan are Credit Suisse and UBS.

2 WTC layout would be a match made in heaven for those two companies.

Iirc it was UBS that was seriously looking at 3WTC's trading floors but they didn't want them in the end, so I'd guess that Credit Suisse might be a more probbable tenant, though that is just a guess
