2WTC probably won't start before 3WTC is completed. Patience needed.

I think once the Transit Hub opens late next year that will cause more tenants to give a serious look to 2 WTC.

So if the Hub opens in late 2015, give it a year for a tenant to be found agreements to be signed.

So work should begin on 2 WTC in Spring 2017 and building should be finished by late 2020.

Maybe optimistic but I can see this. Don't think they'll restart construction until 2017 anyway, as we get an idea how much more business WTC3 will attract.

Man that will be almost 20 years to rebuild. Stinks.

And by then the design will be 15 or so years old, almost at the 'retro' phase. Not a problem though, since it's timeless

And once it's done, no one will care how long it took.

And I might be alone, but I think 2WTC's design is futuristic looking enough to fit in well with a hypothetical 2020

That sucks, I'll be there in Summer 2017 so all I'll see is a few meters of steel at 2 wtc probs, oh well.

This building is indeed gorgeous and timeless! It stands so proud, the diamonds at the top give the impression of the building holding its head up high, with the beefiness of the building making it look incredibly strong; whilst the the same time elegant due to its intricate design

That render is showing the old design.

Yeah, there are no horizontal 'lines' now.

I know, I was just using it as an example for the points I was making
I much prefer the design without the lines now anyway!

Amazing with Wall st. a half mile down the road at an all time high, no patriotic Fortune 500 tenants.
Then again Wall st and patriotic is an oxymoron.
Shameful.....

Foster's designs do tend to hold their age well. Just take a look at his Gherkin and Beehive in London. They're still at the leading edge of that city's architecture. Personally, I'd worry more about WTC 1 becoming dated.

None of the towers at the WTC are going to become "dated'

You all should know the media is mostly bullshit. The market in NY has been steadily increasing compared to the recent years.
