Indeed! It'll most likely be fore the train station or 3WTC! Storing steel next to 2WTC just leaves more space around 3WTC for other stuff

If it is for 2WTC, I'd be absolutely floored, especially since its a core-first building, so concrete would come long before steel. And we'd have heard something about it potentially restarting.

Those beams actually are for this tower.

They're building a hundred foot tall sign to place on top of the foundations. It will say 'STOP ASKING US ABOUT THIS BUILDING' in large red lettering, and will remain in situ until the project gets underway.

They were pouring concrete annoyingly close to this one, but it was for more sidewalk and road construction... It is listed as "Future" on the newly placed signs.

Do you see any barriers toward completing the whole complex, including the buildings you’re developing and all the others slated for the site?

Well we’ve got one more building to go after [Tower] 3 and that’s Tower 2.

The thing I would suggest to you is: stay tuned as to what might happen in connection with Tower 2.

I think 2015 will be an interesting year in the life of Tower 2.

Pretty sure he's hinting that there will be a new tenant for the tower sometime next year

Directly from my source. Was just talking to him about this:

Quote:
Last I heard for T2 was two major prospective tenants in need of AT LEAST 500,000 sq ft or more, similar to the lease at Tower 3. Btw one of those prospective Tower 2 tenants is a major financing firm, which would be cool to bring back to the site.

The Republicans are already rolling back Dodd-Frank, and they don't even have control of Congress yet. Good days are ahead for the banks, and 2 WTC should get a tenant commitment within a few years.

You wanna point me in the direction of these "rollbacks" you're referring to? Or is this just a feeling you have? Pretty big day for the progressives in NY State, Lex...

Um, the "omnibus" bill that just passed? The one that was a huge deal because it put taxpayers on the hook for the next big bailout? The one that Citibank basically bought, because that's how our democracy works now?

I'm honestly would not be surprised if Larry isn't bullshitting. 2WTC would be a trophy tower unlike any other in the city; out of the coming office towers, only 1 Vanderbilt can be seen as more desirable in my opinion so I honestly doubt we'll wait too long to see it get off the ground.
I can only hope to have it rise along with TV and Steinway next year, not the mention the current gems currently u/c, 56 Leonard, the Pyramid, 220 CPS, 30 Park... 2015 is gonna be a fun year for us skyscraper enthusiasts for sure.

Oh yea, CRomnibus

Honestly there's been so much bad news lately that my mind can only remember so much. Sorry to Lex for assuming he was making something up.
