I also hope that it becomes known as the Leaning Tower of Wall Street.

Hedge funds, PE and VC firms, etc. Clearly will occupy the top space and they will peer over structures that it leans over.

Well fortunately you aren't in charge. Mr. Silverstein is and he wants to get the entire complex completed in his lifetime! Also, while many people don't like the company that's going to be the major tenet of the redesigned WTC2 many people do and it's a prestigious company in world circles. Developers of major properties, like Mr. Silverstein is, many times make major changes to the design of a building or complex to suit a prestigious client and that's what happened here.

Just a random rendering of the PAC.

A whole new architect was chosen recently, replacing Gehry.

I don't think that either design completely conflicts with the complex, nor do I think that either completely fits in. I just wish they'd bring Windows on the World to the crate sitting atop the stack.

Bring it on!

Whether one likes Fox or not, this will be a very dramatic location from which to broadcast Fox's live shows.

He should be banned

Aside from Fox News, look at what happened to National Geographic after he bought it.

Judging from the posts in this thread, I'd say people pretty unanimously agree that BIGs contribution is hideous.

The opinions of a bunch of 16 year olds don't really count as much as those of architects and architecture critics.

This building would be awesome even if it had no setbacks but just cantilevered like this. However, the combination of parallel cantilevers and setbacks on a 1,270' tower is amazing!

All political biases aside, it really is hard to find the positives in this design. Even if you were to actually buy all the subliminal meanings and honorifics Ingels places on the design (which I don't), they don't make any sense. He says he designed it to look like it's bowing to 1WTC. Why? If you were going to do that, why not have it bow toward the memorial? It's a stack of boxes that's about to fall over. That's it. If you got rid of the cantilevers, the design would be tolerable, if boring. But this one makes me kinda nauseous. And I would feel that way regardless of who the tenant is.

Let me just start by saying that I am not one of those overzealous people who cringes and becomes fiery by the name of Fox News. In fact, I find the left vs right political paradigm to be absolutely childish and immature as it is decisive and deleterious to our fellow people. My hatred goes to Larry's choice in architects. BIG is who I really hate. Larry could have gone to any other architectural firm and I bet they would have made a design that fits perfectly with the site while accommodating Fox's needs. The real enemy here is BIG and his BIG airhead design!!

It was not Larry's choice to bring in BIG, that's on Murdoch. If Larry had his way, we'd still have the Norman Foster design for Tower 2 but unfortunately, he had to make that huge concession to land an anchor tenant for this building to get the complex completed once and for all.

...well,Love and Hate go with genius:Gehry,Hadid,Calatrava,Ingels, are either loved or hated...
No way any Foster's design unleashes passions: the guy is a talented craftman but nothing more and i doubt anybody will remember him in fifty years.
