One day someone will build a replica of the twin towers somewhere in the world probably in Dubai or somewhere like that.

The thing i'm most dissappointed about with WTC is that in 15 years issues re the design even of proposed buildings have not been resolved yet.

Doesn't look like it. It would've been complete by 2020 had the Fox/News Corp lease been finalized so the search for an anchor tenant continues and that in itself will take roughly a year to complete if ever...

Hey, guys! This is somewhat relevant to 2 WTC, so I am putting this here. There is a line of 4D puzzles that you build the skyline of a city (NYC, Chicago, Toronto, etc.), and I saw that the one for NYC had the world trade center, and used the original Foster's design. But I saw they released a mini series, and the mini NYC one uses the Bjarke Ingles design. I know, it's kinda stupid, but I wanted to post this because its slightly relevant to this thread

Lol, 20 years after 9/11 and the complex still won't be complete.
Even if it was, there still won't be a WTC5 or 6.

I have NYC, Chicago, Toronto, and Tokyo
Unfortunately a few years ago my older brother stepped on it when he wasn't watching where he was going and broke the Bank of America Tower and New York Times Building

Oh man, that sucks. I have NYC, Chicago, and Toronto! The NYC is complete, but the Chicago and Toronto ones I've had for about a year and I still need to do it.

I never do the first layer
Next I think I'll get Melbourne.
Now this is getting off-topic so let's make a separate thread for this

About 5 WTC, after JPMorgan Chase backed out, project pretty much died (I don't feel sorry, a huge toilet seat wouldn't do much good for the whole complex) and the site is now being marketed, so one day we may actually see it rising, but don't hold your breath.
The name 7 WTC doesn't have anything to do with the amount of WTC buildings they want to build on the current site. During planning of this building they didn't even know how the WTC site would end up looking.

I think we should give up on the idea of the Foster design making a come back. BIG's tower is here to stay.

After Its Dream Tenant Bailed on 2 WTC, What Happens to Silverstein Properties’ Tower?
https://commercialobserver.com/2016/...perties-tower/

Quote:
While this might seem like a daunting task, the team behind the project sounds bullish that a replacement will be signed by the end of this year, and completion is only pushed back a year to 2021. Plus, now the developer has a new design for the property—the only silver lining after the Murdoch deal went south...

In the divorce from News Corp. and 21st Century Fox, Silverstein has walked away with custody of the Bjarke Ingels design for 2 WTC, which replaced an earlier draft by Norman Foster. The design, which was drafted during the negotiations at the request of the prospective tenant, features several terraces all the way up in the staircase-like structure. Prospective tenants have been receptive to the design, Mr. Silverstein said.

Ms. Tighe added that while Mr. Foster’s 2006 design was beautiful, the rendering by Mr. Ingels carries “the notion of how we work in 2030, as opposed to how we were working at the time.”

Silverstein has walked away with a Bjarke Ingels design for 2 WTC .

“[Mr. Foster] was designing without a specific use in mind,” Ms. Tighe said. “Now along come two great companies that are in the TAMI sector, with absolutely clear, specific requirements and a big vision as to the nature of the talent they want to attract and retain and support. They say, ‘We can’t use this design because that’s not how we work today, and for sure we won’t be working that way in the next decade.’”

Silverstein in a way has lucked out when it comes to the design of some of its floors. It was originally assumed that finance firms would fill the World Trade Center space once it was rebuilt; that all changed between 2008 and 2009 when the recession hit and firms like Goldman Sachs became less focused on new offices, according to Silverstein executives. TAMI companies emerged at the same time and took a liking to the designs of the trading floors and finance-inspired offices at 3 WTC and 4 WTC.

CBS/Viacom office consolodation maybe

CBS had its morning news air one morning a few years ago in 1 WTC, the anchors loved it. Maybe the big wigs liked it to. Do they have long leases in where they are now, and enough workers needed to fill office space in terms of the sq. footage Silverstein wants? That way the already planned studio space could still be used to a degree.

That's cool! That's when I'm going to the WTC! But how are they going to make an entrance to PATH when Tower 2 isn't even above ground?

Not sure I don't know how to make threads either. I am new to this forum, and forums in general, so I'm still trying to figure out how things work

Tower 2 is at what you might call 'one floor'. Enough for a stairwell down, at least.
