Why should they replace their best-looking tower? What would be perfect about that?

They wouldn't be that would be duplicating the best-looking tower!

Thank you for the clear awnser. What a view it will be from those offices! Wide and very light, I think. I know this is a bald statement, but I think this tower is slightly more expressive then WTC 1. But that's just my opinion.

I completely agree! It's the artistic statement of the four. Don't get me wrong though, 1WTC is a bold and beautiful building too!

That's right! I cannot wait to visit the WTC1 in future, because my dream was to visit the old WTC towers, but that dream did not happen.... I was in NYC in 2006 for running the marathon, but then, as we all know, it was too late

I can't believe I've been to the top of the original twins and do not have any pictures! I thought since I lived 30 minutes outside NYC that I would have plently of opportunities! I will now visit the site every year and never again miss the chance at a good photograph.

2WTC is my favorite design of the group. The views from the offices in the diamonds will be spectacular.

Maybe I will visit NYC in 2012, when I try to run again! And then visit the construction site again. In 2006 it was just a very large hole in the ground, very impressive though.

The views won't be that different from the rest of the building. Because of the angle, you really won't be able to see the floor beneath you.

Some floors will be louvered, others will be glass. I haven't seen a final stacking plan, so I haven't done anything yet to specialize the top of the building. It looks like the top 8 floors will be utilities though.

Do not understand why the free tower is much higher in the second render, WTC2 the tower, and because the WTC2 when compared to the twin who had before at the same height is the vertex, but in the past renders all the towers are lower than the twin without the antenna clear.
Could make a comparison between the twins and free?

Looks like a matter of perspective. Both have a similar height.

Excellent comparison of the the new and old!

You can clearly see here, that the new WTC1 rises to the same height as the old one.. however, it actually appears taller due to the parapet on top of the roof and of course the spire is taller than the antenna on the old WTC. Add the fact that the new WTC includes a sleeker, more modern design and that it'll be joined by 3 other well designed skyscrapers... All this, in my opinion, will create a more visually impressive skyline... when completed of course.

When you make it taller you have to make it wider too. Otherwise it looks fragile. Even then it wouldn't fit into New York's skyline and it would loose its reference to the old WTC.

The dimension of 2WTC is perfect. Nothing to criticize here.
