Both towers 2 and 3 have massive trading floors, which large financial institutions crave. So take Citi and Credit Suisse who have both been looking for somewhere to consolidate space in the case of Citi, and in the case of Credit Suisse, looking for more modern offices, they're currently at the old Met Life Tower on 23rd and Madison, and occupy a few buildings surrounding that building, north across 24th, and east across Park Ave.

So if Citi wanted the trading floors in Tower 2 and say 500,000 sf, and Credit Suisse wanted the trading floors in Tower 3 and 500,000 sf both would be built, with no delay, and those are seriously possible/realistic predictions. It's not a matter of, we have to fill up Tower 1 and 4, then we can work on 2 and 3, it's a matter of, let's get anchor tenants for 2 and 3, while we also look to fill out Tower 4 and float the upper floors of Tower 1.

A recent article in The Observer said that NINE companies are looking at space at the Hudson Yards, and each of them needs AT LEAST 1 MILLION SF. Any lease anywhere near 1M sf in either 2 or 3 would get them built no delay. With that in mind, a CoolCzech on SSP heard a radio interview that Silverstein gave and this is the quote, "he hinted STRONGLY that he will have news about new tenants in the next few weeks for ALL the towers."

Hope that clears up some confusion.
I hope Silverstein is not jerking our chain.

Better too much than not enough.. But it's probably a little bit more that it needs..

I hope that Time Warner moves to Tower 2!

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...LEFTTopStories

BY LAUREN A. E. SCHUKER
Time Warner Inc. is eyeing several new possibilities for its headquarters in Manhattan, from moving to the new World Trade Center to building a new tower on the West Side of Manhattan, as it undertakes a broader evaluation of its real estate situation in New York, according to people close to the situation.

The expiration of several high-profile leases later this decade prompted the media company, which owns Time Inc., HBO, CNN and Warner Bros., to conduct the analysis of the roughly 4 million square feet it occupies in Manhattan.

Some of those leases—including ones for more than 2 million ...

I doubt they would build a very tall building. More like 200 - 300 meters like BoA. I think in this case it would be better if they moved to the WTC cause then we might see towers 3 and 2 built sooner

200m wouldn't accomodate their needs of at least 2m sf.

That would be so awesome if they moved into the WTC! I love Time Warner (most of it).

Hello everybody. Can someone explain what is going to be located between those two yellow lines? They have been relocating several big outer columns in the lower basement levels for it. Now they seem to form an arch for the real outer columns going all the way up the tower as you can see in the green circle. They dont need that kind of big entrance for cars, do they?

I believe that is a future path related to the Vechicle Security Center construction. It's big for normal sized cars, but not tour buses and large delivery trucks.

@spectre000
Thx, that makes sense. I always thought the parking decks would be for normal cars only. Where will the vehicle security center be?

Just south of the memorial. On the KPI TV cam you can see the big pit where they are digging it out now.

It's going to be like a long driveway starting from south of Liberty Street (the old Deustche Bank/possible future 5WTC site) where the security checkpoint is, then down and around the complex through the lower levels of 4, 3, and 2WTC, then turning left and ending at 1WTC. I'm not sure if there's an outlet or a turnaround there.
