I believe columns are 8' above ground level. The core however is still underground.

Will the 'Wedge of Light' concept still be intact after completion?

Screw those terrorist ****s. They won't be able to attack this fortress. We can't be afraid of them because of 9/11. 9/11 was a terrible day that we will never forget but the terrorists want us to remember it day after day, to fear them so it is up to us to overcome that fear and show we can come back and show how strong we have become since 9/11/2001.

I'm not sure, I think it's kind of an unnecessary undertaking anyway. It'd be funny if the sun ends up not even shining properly on the pool, or if it's cloudy every year at that moment when the effect is supposed to happen. then it'd be like "oh well, another 364 days and 23 hours and it might actually work for a minute or so!"

I heard something to do with the Millennium Hotel was going to mess up that effect.

Yeah. I thought the concept was really weird.

I would post construction photos if I knew where to find them...

How do I share photos from Flickr? And who do I give credit to?

Do you have a couple? Sweet!

Just go to the share button that's above the photo, then grab the bbcode text and post it.. If this function is not aviable, then just write: "Photo by flickr photographer" and insert a link to his/her photostream.

It is mine too. I wish they would get it built.

Hopefully by 2013, 2 and 3WTC will be rising a couple hundred feet in the air. But that is if they don't go on hold.

Not much news about possible tenants recently.

@Fabio. Hopefully more. If they don't go on hold at all, they might be at or close to topping out by the end of 2013

@Eric. I recall someone saying that Larry was holding back news about tenants these past couple weeks. It should be a matter of time before we are made aware of the news

Not going on hold with tower 3, that might be, but I think they will go on hold with tower 2 for at least a few months

What Morons. Tower 2 is the most beautiful and spectacular of all the buildings being built at Ground Zero including Tower 1.

Why can't they just start building it and tenants will come eventually like what happened with building 7.

I mean when they build the Empire State Building, they didnt have tenants lined up, its only after it opened that tenants started coming in.

America has lost the vision it once had.
