Thank you for your attention.
Let's wait for another update, the picture doesn't clarify which plot is actually that of the tower.

That's not how U/C status was handled for the last couple years. We considered piles to be part of the building, and therefor piling works to be part of the construction.

Simply not true, if there are any mods here that have said so then they have contradicted the original rules we have ever since these status change threads were introduced. I've posted a reminder / explanation written by respected long time forumer wjfox on a regular basis here. I'm tired of continuously having this discussion.

It's better to be more conservative instead of moving mountains once a single piece of equipment has been spotted. Many times there are only parts of complexes being built that have nothing to do with the tower that we're here for. Sometimes stuff doesn't even get built. I'm not even talking about the fact of looking at a construction pit / hole for sometimes over two years with minimal visual progress. Such threads are a pain in the ass for several reasons and are better kept in the proposed section until the real (exciting) action starts.

But this is exactly what happened for years. Nearly all threads were moved to U/C as soon as they started piling works, e.g. this one. If this is not what you want, then make sure every mod actually knows about the exact rules.

Totally agree, but that's not even what I was talking about.

Sure, slow projects are not exciting to watch. But that goes for any construction stage, no matter if it's piling or finishing the exteriors. By your logic, several projects should be moved to proposed section because they are dead slow (e.g. Al Attar Tower, The Skyscraper, and the list goes on).

It's a struggle, what can I say. Apparently not everybody maintains a similar standard of information quality as me. This problem isn't one of now, it has been around for years like you said yourself. I think it's an issue that can be better resolved using private messages.

I disagree. The list doesn't go on. There are ten to fifteen at most and progress is still easier to track instead of a few extra shovels of sand being moved over a week. There are a lot more of those threads and they would pollute the website's most popular subforum by taking away attention from threads where the real action is at. Anyway, also this an ongoing discussion and all I can hope for is that people don't keep on bringing this up and accept how a situation is dealt with by who-ever is moderating at that time. I'll keep on doing my best trying to get everybody on the same page, but on a forum this size it isn't easy doing so. There will always be people that like measuring using different tools (so to speak).

Again let's agree to not discuss this any further here.
