Then again, although they are relatively few, the projects currently underway are impressive and going to make a huge difference to the profile of San Francisco's skyline. To paraphrase a famous architect (Frank Lloyd Wright, I think......?) sometimes less is more!

I spent a week exploring SF back in 2012 and absolutely love the city. Among the more amazing aspects of this unique metropolis is the profusion of ever changing micro climates all within hollering distance of each other.

Yup, I think SF is the most unique city in the US when you combined the facts that it has the coldest climate of any major city during the summer months with the fog and that a large part of the city is built on hills and it is surrounded by all sides by water and it still has the cable cars. There is also a new wave of skyscrapers being built or proposed now. Just love the unique characters of this city.

Bit like Cape town that way - many people have compared the geographical setting , vibrancy/ unique feel and climate too.

this is one of the coolest towers going up in the US right now. One of my favorites for sure.

This tower might look better than Salesforce Tower when both are finished.

yeah, i kinda agree with that . I'm drooling waiting to see it from that angle when they are done with that awesome cladding. Jesus, it sticks out beautifully from there plus, we have seen that view so many times over the years and though gorgeous, it's always the same. Not any longer, 181 Fremont is an eye catcher for sure. WOW!

Yup. Can't wait when both are finally finished. Great additions to the SF skyline, although I wish 181 Fremont was also over a 1k feet tall. That is the only downside to me.

Yeah. It was originally proposed at 900' tall, but the site is only zoned for 700' (to the roofline), so the tower had to be downsized.
