Looks like it has reached the ⅓ mark (where the oblique brace anchors and reverses direction):

We build 'em that way because they may end up that way after "the big one" anyway. No need to temp Mother Nature.

They say it should be finished by the beginning of next year as they indicated. Hope it does get finished on time.

When is the elevated park going to be completed?

end of next year (2017) . . . around the same time as the Salesforce Tower which has a sky bridge to it as does this building (181 Fremont).

But the terminal building that the park is on top of is over-budget and whenever they say they need more money for it, they threaten to leave the park unfinished if they don't get it. I don't think that will happen, but we'll see next year.

I heard them say that they are on schedule for completion for the Transbay Transit Center.

At about the halfway mark, finally moving above and beyond the building next door for more prominent spot on the skyline:

Supposed to be finished by the end of the year so should be topped out late this summer. Seems like they are meeting that schedule.

Excellent, just in time for me to be there and follow the cladding.

I'm planning to go to SF in mid August. I hope the tower has progressed well at this time.
Does anybody know if it could look almost completed by then? I love this project, but it would be kind of a pity to be a little bit too early to enjoy the tower in its full presence.

It is scheduled to OPEN in "early 2017". I'm guessing that means it should appear complete in late 2016 (November maybe). So in August I think it should be topped out or nearly so but not fully clad--maybe the cladding will be halfway or thereabouts.

They are doing between 1.5 and 2 floors per week it seems and have about 25 to go--15 weeks. That argues topping out around August 1 I'd think.

Interesting, this one has no 'solid' core.
