I have just been looking through who is on for the next 9 months or so, and there is no doubt about it that there are some names which would never have come to Liverpool before. It is truly astounding the acts Liverpool is now attracting.

The ones that stand out for me as big achievements are:

McFly
BBC Sports Personality of the Year
Elton John
Strictly Come Dancing Tour
X Factor Tour
WWE UK Tour
Pussycat Dolls
Cirque du Soleil
Pink
Girls Aloud
Walking with Dinosaurs

It is fantastic that the city is now attracting the above names who's only northwest date would normally be in Manchester. Lets hope that the MTV awards and the BBC Sports Personality Awards help raise the profile even more and that big names continue to book

Elton John came to the Summer Pops about seven years ago. Ticket prices were very high reflecting the small amount of seating in the tent. Be interesting to see how he does in this much larger space.

Only single seats remaining, and that's been the situation since they went on sale for both nights. Thats over twenty thousand tickets, interestingly you can get plenty of seats at the MEN

Interesting indeed if true??.................. not that I doubt you!

I always said the arena needs to be better than the MEN not bigger .
