the northern Highlands are very beautiful, the southern lush farmlands and savanna are also nice if you can find pictures of them. The areas with lakes like Ambo, Chamo, Langano, Zway etc. are picturesque.
Alot of great pictures are possible from Ethiopia. very photogenic place

Dallol salt springs - This is apparently the only place in the world where you can see this.
  Erta Ale Volcano - it has a permanent lava lake you can visit     Salt lake - Lake Karum (also called Assale - different from Djibouti's Lake Assale)

Lake Abiata - Southern Ethiopia
  Tigray - Northern Ethiopia     A close-up of the lava lake at Erta Ale volcano - North East Ethiopia   Sulfur bubbling in a salt lake. This is the Dallol volcano - one of the hottest and lowest places in the planet. It's 120 meters BELOW sea level.   Back to the north highlands       East of Addis   Savanna in the South - Nechisar National Park           Nechisar again - Lake Chamo in the background   Awash National Park - East   Bale Mountains - South   Arba Minch - South   Mount Fantalle - biggest volcano in the country - East

I'm sorry with the wild variation in sizes. It's extremely hard to find pictures of Ethiopia so I gotta take what I find.

Another view of Wenchi crater lake
  Stelae of Tiya - South     Sof Omar cave system - South   Bale mountains area in the spring - these are "adei abeba", they signal the end of the rainy season (and Ethiopian calendar year) and the beginning of spring and new year - South   Another salt lake, Dobi - North east   Another of Lake Korum/Assale - North east   Salt caravans towards Mekelle, ET   Omo National Park - South

Hot spring near lake
  Sanetti Plateau - Bale Mountains - South. It may not look like it, but this is at 4000 m elevation!   More angles of Sof Omar cave - South     Rift Valley lakes Abaya and Chamo separated by the Bridge of God. They are extremely different, one is a foggy, mysterious lake, the other is bright with lots of hot springs and a white sandy beach. - South   Gumarre Forrest - West   Danakil Depression - North east (where Dallol and Erta Ale are) - desert that's described as Moon-like because there's no life whatsoever, just minerals.
