Impressive light festival, Riga, Latvia

Republic of Latvia gets 90 years old tomorrow, on 18th November. In this year there is started new tradition - light festival "Staro Riga" with dozens of lighted objects around the city.

My own pics from yesterday evening. I did not manage to go in Old City yet - there are multiple smaller exhibits. But for now - the larger ones.

Some 4 km faraway Centre from the deserted Lucavsala island. The blue lights come from our National Library construction site.

Riga TV tower and Moon. This is the highest tower in EU - 368 m high. The lights on tower are changing colors, very impressive!!!

TV tower and TV centre building. There are 3 TV towers projected in the sky above the real tower.

Old Riga (yellow) and New Riga (colourful) - as seen from Zakusala island.

Play of colors on Railway bridge (blue in forefront), Vansu bridge (the one with pylon in background) and Saules akmens - Swedbank Central office building.

Saules akmens highrise - closer views:

Vansu bridge and the moving images on Minstry of Agriculture highrise (now green):

Just a few pictures from Centre:
Central building of University:

Nymph fountain and Opera:

Finally - the newly built "Rietumu banka" - this is their everyday lighting. Fields of grass in foreground - future construction site for highrises:

I like how the Vansu bridge is done - it looks very cool in this light. Thank you Gatis! How old is this bridge?
