Thanks! These most recent updates I took from the roof of the Bank of America tower just Thursday.

That is Met2 which is slated to be 647 feet tall at 48 stories. Directly behind it facing Biscayne Bay is Met1 which supposedly is 440 feet tall at 40 stories. Slated to go to the left of Met2 is Met3 which supposedly will be 828 feet tall at 76 stories and the largest residential tower south of Manhattan, but right now, we don't know what it's going to be in this economic climate.

Here is what that whole block is supposed to look like. The towers that are on both sides of the Miami River now (Epic and Icon Brickell) were not there when this rendering was drawn up.

The tallest building in Miami currently is the Four Seasons Condo/Hotel, which is in a different area of downtown called Brickell, posted above by QuatumX:

If met3 gets built, it will be the tallest until One Bayfront Plaza gets built at 1049':

Excellent thread Q... This is the first time I see it!!! Excellent discussions and great points of view. About the people walking around the city, its true what one of the forumers said. The 100 degree weather that we get is just unbearable, and extremely uncomfortable to walk in. That is something that the tourists enjoy, you can tell who are the locals... They are the ones running into the air conditioned stores/cars!!! lol And Q, you forgot to mention Met Square, the most important part of the Metropolitan Miami project!! Its the one between Met1 and Met2 for those of you that don't know. It is to have a movie theater complex, shops and restaurants.

Thanks! I originally created it to work on my music video, and then it blossomed. My arranger must really think I'm onto something since he was willing to fork over the DVD without me being able to pay him yet. He probably knows it will make a lot of money eventually and he would only slow down the process by not giving it to me now to take to the negotiating table with the BIG development company who's interested.

One of the reasons people don't see more people in my photos is because I tend to shoot on the weekends or at hours when there are fewer people around because traffic can be such a hassle and people can get in the way of what you're trying to shoot. And I'm just not that interested in photographing people. I know some people want to see that, but you'll have to find a thread where that's their thing - like Miami Fever, who photographs nothing but hot women all over town. I'm really over photographing beautiful people.

And yes, I do get so fixated on the skyscrapers sometimes, I forget about important projects like Met Square.

This latest photo I posted above marks the south entrance to Miami's Brickell Avenue Financial District. It was taken from the driveway of The Palace, a 400 feet tall condo that you can see to the immediate left of 1450 Brickell under construction in the photo I took of it from the Bank of America tower.
