Tingair, une nouvelle compagnie basée à Tanger

Tingair est le nom d’une nouvelle compagnie aérienne basée à Tanger. Le projet a été initié il y a près d’un an par Jean-Pierre Moraux son directeur général. La holding Comaxys est actionnaire de référence avec 33% du capital, le reste est réparti entre divers actionnaires privés.

L’investissement total est de 10 millions d’euros, soit un peu plus de 120 millions de DH. Il sera financé à hauteur de 40% par des fonds propres. La compagnie entend démarrer avant la fin de l’année, selon son directeur général, après avoir finalisé les formalités administratives.

L’essentiel de l’investissement est représenté par la flotte de la compagnie, deux Bae 146, des quadri-jets de 100 places. Le Bae 146 est un quadri-réacteur court-courrier spécialement mis au point pour desservir les aéroports urbains des grandes villes. Un avion qui dispose de réacteurs peu bruyants et de capacité de décollage et d’atterrissage adaptée aux distances courtes.

Tingair a commandé deux unités en ferme en plus de deux autres optionnelles. Les avions sont actuellement en phase de finition pour être mis aux standards de la nouvelle compagnie.
Tingair entend se positionner entre le low cost et les transporteurs traditionnels. D’où la naissance d’un nouveau terme: le middle-cost. Les avions de Tingair disposeront de deux classes, affaires et économique et les sièges seront disponibles à des tarifs très agressifs. Les horaires, promet Moraux, seront adaptés avec un premier vol à 8 heures du matin, le dernier à 20 heures.

Les lignes qu’entend exploiter Tingair sont celles desservant Tanger à Rotterdam et Bruxelles, dans un premier temps, avec ensuite une extension aux autres capitales européennes, Paris, Madrid et Barcelone. Ce qui place la communauté marocaine à l’étranger comme principale cible de la compagnie. Il s’agit d’un marché non encore exploité sur lequel Tingair entend se positionner. Des liaisons vers l’Oriental et vers Casablanca sont elles aussi prévues.

Tingair qui vient de s’installer à l’aéro-port de Tanger est en train d’étoffer son personnel qui devrait atteindre les 60 personnes à court terme. La compagnie entend se positionner en complémentarité avec les autres opérateurs tout en se focalisant sur la desserte aérienne du Nord, explique Moraux. Ce dernier, qui opérait dans différents pays d’Afrique de l’Ouest, a préféré venir s’installer au Maroc. Le pays offre un climat d’affaires plus accueillant. «J’ai visité le Maroc il y a plus de deux ans et j’ai été séduit par le pays», affirme le responsable de Tingair.

Tingair, a new company based in Tangiers

Tingair is the name of a new airline based in Tangiers. The project was initiated there nearly a year by Jean-Pierre Moral its director general. The holding company is Comaxys reference shareholder with 33% of the capital, the rest is divided among private shareholders.

The total investment is 10 million euros, slightly more than 120 million DH. It will be financed up to 40% equity. The company intends to start before the end of the year, according to its director general, having completed the paperwork.

The bulk of investment is represented by the Company's fleet, two BAE 146, the quad-jets with 100 seats. The BAe 146 is a four-engine short-haul specially developed to serve the city airports of major cities. A plane has engine quieter and capacity-off and landing suitable for short distances.

Tingair has ordered two units in firm over two other options. The planes are currently finishing phase to be put to the standards of the new company.
Tingair intends to position itself between low cost and traditional carriers. Hence the birth of a new term: the middle-cost. Tingair aircraft will have two classes, business and economy seats and will be available at very aggressive prices. Times promises Moraux, will be adapted with a first flight at 8 o'clock in the morning, the last 20 hours.

The lines Tingair exploit what are those serving Tangier in Rotterdam and Brussels, initially, with subsequent expansion to other European capitals, Paris, Madrid and Barcelona. This puts the Moroccan community abroad as the main target of the company. It is a market not yet tapped on which Tingair intends to position itself. Routes to and from the Oriental Casablanca are also planned.

Tingair who just moved to the airport port of Tangier is currently expanding its staff to reach 60 people in the short term. The company intends to position itself as a complement to other operators while focusing on air service North Moraux explains. The latter, which operated in various countries of West Africa, chose to come to Morocco. The country offers a business climate more hospitable. "I visited Morocco for more than two years and I was seduced by the country," said the head of Tingair.

I don't know, i don't think it will work until 2009, beacuse they don't really fly normal routes yet, i only thinks it's charter.

Tingair plans to start by year-end
Moroccan start-up airline Tingair is planning to launch services from Tanger using two BAe 146-300s before the end of the year. The airline is planning to operate both domestic and international services. The latter would include Brussels and Amsterdam -- cities with a large Moroccan expatriate population. The airline's name is based on Tanger's old name, Tingis. Tingair's BAe 146-300s will be fitted with 12 business class and 84 economy class seats. [2008-11-17]

My dad went to morocco with mexwings/rifairways wich are operated by spanair and andalus.
And in this month edition of airline magazine, they annonced that andalous just started flying from all those destinations at mexwings websites to nador with some stops in tanger and casablanca.

And i have seen tingair with my own eyes last year at tanger airport, but ting air still only flies charter!!!

The rumours arent fake, but based on some news alright. Im not sure whats going on, but it appears that rifjet is not know @ Rotterdam airport.

It is a very strange story...

In Spain hunderds of people were ripped off by www.jet2r.com and they also said that the hired planes from Pronair.
And the site of www.jet2r.com was also in hands of the same guy behind www.rifjet.com...

Tingair doesn't excist anymore, their site is gone..

A lot of people called Rotterdam and Amsterdam airports but they don't know Rifjet, Mexwings, Tingair or Rifairways.

Tingair site is gone and they aren't on the list of Tanger airport anymore..

Ting air's website still dosent work, i think it's still under construction but i think it's www.tingair.ma end not .net

But many people are flying with rifjet now...

But actually there is to company's there is rifairways and rifjet, but they are both true, but rifairways works with mexwings and andalus.

Mexwings/Rifairways sont de vrais compagnies qui opèrent des apapreils, elles n'ont pas encore leurs appareils ! ce n'est pas pour autant que l'on peut dire que ce sont des "fausses" compagnies !
