Happy Thanksgiving

I know it is a few days early but I just wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving here on SkyscraperCity. I hope there is a lot more to be built in Miami-Dade even in these recessionary times and for years to come as this beautiful city and the people who live here , have a lot to be thankful for, so Happy Thanksgiving to:

For those that will be alone this Thanksgiving, Flanigan's runs a pretty good special and last year they were empty. Combine that with a day on the beach and it doesn't get much better.

Thanks Noland, and enjoy the holidays everyone.

But it's not too early to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving. It's appropriate to start wishing people a Happy Thanksgiving after Veterans Day. We still have a lot to look forward to in these recessionary times, I believe, because things can only get better from here on out.

Christmas tree-lighting event on Friday at Miami's Bayfront Park

After a day of thanks, bring the whole family to Bayfront Park's Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday.

It can start your season of joy.

The downtown Miami free event begins at 7:30 p.m. and will include live holiday music and the official lighting of the 50-foot-tall tree.

The artificial tree is decorated with a custom lighting package by Christmas Designers, which has more than a quarter-century of experience in South Florida.

The tree will remain lit every night and remain in the park through New Year's Eve.

During the tree-lighting ceremony, at Bayfront Park], 301 N. Biscayne Blvd., families will sing Christmas carols with the duo, Crazy Pianos, from the Netherlands.

They will sing holiday favorites and take requests.

The tree will be in the middle of the park on Flagler Promenade.

No bottles, cans, coolers or fireworks can be brought into the park.

The tree-lighting ceremony is presented by Bayfront Park Management Trust, a limited agency of the city of Miami, with support from the city of Miami, mayor Manny Diaz and the Miami City Commission.

It's also sponsored by Crazy Pianos, which is opening a piano bar and restaurant in Coconut Grove's CocoWalk in February -- its U.S. debut.

Crazy Pianos already has restaurants in the Netherlands and Spain with plans for expansion to London, Dubai, Disneyland Paris, San Francisco, Las Vegas and New York.

Thanks for starting the thread Noland, and thanks for all that contribute to it.
I'm thankful for many things and life is incredibly great in Miam!!!
The closer you live to the heart of Miami, and the more that you give to Miami, the more it gives back.
Thanks!

Thanks!! And needless to say, a very happy Thanksgiving to one and all here.

I do that holiday here in Philly but will be back in South Florida (as always) for Christmas...I wonder if I'll ever see one of those in the snow?

Anyway, eat till you burst fellas...and thanks for always providing an entertaining and informative forum.

Who loves 'ya, baby?
