I don't think there's any doubt the u/c building is the same as in the render.

I can. It is near the Commonwealth Arts Village and has a huge signboard in front of it.

Nice one, and I'm happy to see that the actual building seems to look a bit larger than it actually appears to be in the rendering. Dose anyone know what that little village is in front of the building and if it'll be staying there for long?

That's not a mall, it's a movie theater complex. Abuja has yet to be built a real Mall. I wonder what ever happened to the plans for that Scottish company to build that giant mall that was supposed to cost several hundred million to build in Abuja?

nice but I would love to see bigger and flashier.

Where is this mall located? its surroundings are very village-like or is it part of the project (mall concept)?

me , too! What has become of it? Abuja needs giant malls for entertainment, at least two truly big malls (with at least 200 shops each)

It's not that small, its almost as big as the largest shopping centre we have here in my council.

And like Nsukka said it is an entertainment centre, it will probably have a few stores dedicated to entertainment though.

It's located in the Central Area. All the major malls and entertainment centres of Abuja are planned in that district.

I heard of this project since last year, so there might actually even be a few of such large malls already in development in Abuja.

I couldn't possibly find much information unless I live in Abuja.

Which is why I hope more Nigerians will join this forum.

It's not hard to find projects if you live in a country. If I caught a train to Brisbane right now, I could gather information for at least 10 Projects.

Umm, Matthias.. like I've already told that other poster; that project is not a mall. It's primarily a movie Cinema complex with more than likely several other entertainment type of outlets located within it as well, such as arcade rooms and locations to buy video games, books and suvineres. There are many such establishments here in the US and this new Abuja one is definitely on scale with some of the largest ones in the nation here. That's definitely a very large Cinema/entertainingly outlet.

That village is a moc Village. It's like a city park... built in the middle of the city in honor of the actual village in which existed in the area prior to the creation of Abuja. I actually think its a good idea, although the city dose need to spruce it up a bit and make it look more presentable.
