Not yet. According to some news reports the full-speed test is expected to be in July.

It's designed max speed, but in tests they can push it to go higher, probably close to 500km/h.

Are you saying this under the assumption that the components will be built to withstand cruising at 430kmh and that 500kmh will thus be possible, or am I missing something? Especially considering that service is scheduled to be at 370kmh....Also, does anyone know if the plan on this page is still being implemented? It makes a lot of sense for a country sized and populated like South Korea.

I'm pretty sure the components are built to standards much higher than the normal operating speed. The CRH380A's max operating speed is 380km/h but in tests it hit 486.1km/h.

Of course, HSR tracks are being built on Honam section, and soon KTX will be able to do HS service to Gwangju as well as Busan.
