It can also be dangerous to take recognizable pics of certain people if you photograph the wrong person. That's one of the reasons why I shy away from taking such pics. I don't want to lose my camera and valuable pics that are already on my memory card.

Thanks buddy!!! I love that corner, and specially the building with the Van Dyke Cafe on it. That building is kind of creepy but amazing, you have to see it!

That was my favorite hangout when I lived on South Beach, especially after the gym. I live a bit too far away in Miami now to go there often.

Great pics, Philadweller. South Beach, and Lincoln Mall in particular, is one of the best places in the United States for street scene photography. Being that Art Basel appears to have been in town during your shoot, you picked a great time to catch some real oddities. Nice job.

It's nice that people over there even smile if they see you are taking pics of them. Here in Madrid some people get so stroppy and even complain

I don't know about Miami, but I'm sure you can find people like those you described in Madrid when you take pictures of them.

Madrid seemed a little uptight when I took photos there. Europeans aren't as receptive to my voyeur like ways. In the US everyone wants to be famous. Actually I got yelled at by people in Spain, especially the Muslims in the Barrio Gotic, Barcelona. Otherwise Madrid is a fantastic city with superb streetlife day and night. The worst was Rome, Italy. People are rude and very vocal about having their photos taken.

LA is a fun city to take people photos. Everyone smiles and thinks they will end up on TV.
