With labels.

OT: The Tiwi Geothermal Plant as I remember it during our educational tour is not connected to Mt. Mayon's magma chamber but rather to Mt. Malinao's. So this means although Mt. Malinao is an extinct volcano, it's magma chamber is actively participating in the volcanic activities in the region. Not to mention supply a potential 300MW of power to the Luzon Grid.

Just a curious question. I wonder why who ever have the interior done, or the airport was done. How come they turn the check in counter like this way instead of a desk which is how most airport check in looks like, big or small... This one looks more like a pawnshop. Too bad, the whole area looks nice and clean already. It seems to be newly renovated as well.

Good news from Cebu Pacific Air and PAL

5Js is now accepting debit cards, and over-the-counter (cash) payments for your online booking.

you may pay in cash over-the-counter on all Robinsons Savings Bank (RSB), Metrobank, Banco de Oro (BDO).
or pay using ATM machines (Bancnet & Megalink).

HOW?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fly PAL using ATM cards

Internet-ready ATM cards issued by BancNet member-banks may now be used to pay for PAL tickets purchased through the PAL website.

PAL customers without credit cards may now use BancNet ATM cards with debit function and information security, when buying tickets online. The ATM card features a hack-free system controlled by the card owners' Personal Information Number (PIN).

The latest PAL payment scheme innovation – a first for the Philippine aviation industry – affords PAL customers more choices and added convenience in paying for their tickets, without queuing at PAL ticket offices.

PAL has invited other BancNet members to make their ATM cards internet-ready, to be able to extend their service to more customers buying PAL tickets online.

BancNet member-banks that have internet-ready ATM cards include Allied Bank, Asia United Bank, China Bank, Chinatrust Bank, Citystate Savings Bank, Metrobank, PBCom, Philtrust, Postal Bank, RCBC, RCBC Savings, Robinsons Savings Bank, Security Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and Sterling Bank.

Except for the new airports in Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Bacolod, almost all check in counters of the airports in the Philippines look like this. But I'm glad its clean. This terminal was renovated after it was destroyed by Typhoon Reming in 2006.

CEB highlights inter-island routes from Legazpi
Lowest possible fares begin at P688

The Philippines’ leading airline Cebu Pacific (CEB) underscores inter-island flights from Legazpi as the most convenient way to travel around the Philippines.

CEB currently operates a thrice daily Airbus A320 service from Legazpi to Manila, giving travelers a choice between flights that depart Legazpi at 7:25am, 11:40am and 2:10pm. The return flights leave Manila at 6:00am, 10:15am and 12:35pm.

Meanwhile, CEB flies from Legazpi to Cebu every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using an ATR72-500 aircraft. It departs Legazpi at 2:40pm, and the return flight leaves Cebu at 1:10pm.

The lowest possible year-round ‘Go Lite’ fare for the Legazpi-Manila route is P688. For the Legazpi-Cebu route, it’s P1,288. Passengers with check-in luggage will just add P100 upon booking.

“CEB is the only airline flying between the Bicol region and the Visayas, making it the quickest and most convenient way to the South of the Philippines. Our aircraft fleet of Airbus and ATRs are also more comfortable alternatives to buses and ferries that usually take up hours of travel,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

“Passengers who wish to book online but don’t have credit cards may still do so and pay through our partner banks via ATM or over-the-counter transactions. We encourage our passengers to book early so they can get the lowest possible fares for their desired CEB flights,” she added.

For more information, visit the website at www.cebupacificair.com or call the reservation hotline (02)7020-888 or (032)230-8888.

Gokongwei-owned CEB flies to 32 domestic and 14 international destinations, using one of the youngest fleets of aircraft in Asia. Since its inception in 1996, it has flown over 36 million passengers, making it the third largest low-cost carrier in Asia.
