They're just yellow-brownish tiles as far as I recall. I think the photographer has boosted the yellow/red tones in the post-processing, which is why it looks so "emphasized".

what I think is that Mamo needs some highrises near to Turning Torso to form the best highrise cluster in the Nordics!!

It is. I was there last summer. But it's impossible to go to the very top of the "peninsula" since it's protected (unlike Skagern). There's lots of birds living there in summer. There's also a golf course there which is kinda disturbing as you have to pass around it.

The beaches are said to be among the best in Europe in fact (the quality of the sand and so on) - but I'm sure it's partly just a way of attracting more tourists.

The Näset peninsula is probably the most popular getaway for Malmöites on hot summer days, as it's located only 30 minutes from the city.

What is the area called?

It is still called "Bo01" which was the name of the housing exhibition that was held at the spot in 2001. Turning Torso was the "main event" of the exhibition - but there is some other fantastic architecture to be found as well.

Bo01 is located in Västra Hamnen.

A bit OT, but I hope people can forgive:-D Is there any more info/pics from this area, and how does it work? I see there is no cars allowed, not very different from many om the commieblock areas(drabantbyene) buildt in the 70'ies, but here it may look like the urban feel is there and the area is integrated in the city, and not just another "oasis" only visited by the inhabitants? Is there shopping eg. inside the area?
