Regarding Republiken Jämtland, it is of course a lot of humour in it, but with a serious undertone that they are not really satisfied with the treatment from Stockholm. It was founded after the county lost 20 000 people in a rather short time period (10 years?).

Although Dublin was founded by Norwegian vikings, it was never under control of the Norwegian crown. Kind of the same class as the Norwegian viking Duchy of Normandy (hence its name), except that Ireland after a couple of generations was invaded by the Normans and not the other way around....

Not sure that it was "only" vikings from todays Norway that went to Normandie.
