Man wtf? Every country is building beautiful new stadiums these days. Only Canada seems content with the shit we currently have. Seriously, the CFL teams need to improve their shitty stadiums.

Basketball in Europe is iproving and areanas is getting bigger. Canada doesn't need new arenas for basketball as I know.

And if you notice. Most of the new stadiums are football (soccer) stadiums. Because investment on this sport worldwide very intense and much. Economy of football is getting big, so the countries need new stadiums for this economic progress.

Yeah, I was referring to outdoor stadiums. We don't need any more indoor arenas .... Canada is very advanced in that regard.

Fact is that there is a mildly successful Canadian Football League (gridiron football) that is hugely popular in many regions of the country. However, they also have extremely shitty stadiums. In my opinion, the government at all levels is extremely discouraging in terms of stadium development. Even private investors who don't want a single penny from the government are being blocked from building stadiums.

1) Olympic Stadium

2) Percival Molson Memorial Stadium

Ottawa

3) Frank Clair Stadium

Toronto

4) SkyDome (Rogers Centre)

Hamilton

5) Ivor Wynne Stadium

Winnipeg

6) Canad Inns Stadium

7) Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field

8) Commonwealth Stadium

Calgary

9) McMahon Stadium

Vancouver

10) BC Place

although it currently has renovation plans which would turn it into this:

Commonwealth Stadium isn't bad (atleast in my opinion) but it has a running track which takes away from the atmosphere. A smaller, more intimate stadium would be preferable in my opinion.

Also, I should point out that Winnipeg has a stadium proposal that is in a very advanced stage of the approval process. The proposal is just waiting federal backing, as it has already secured provincial government funding.

In my opinion, Calgary, Saskatchewan, Toronto, Hamilton, and Ottawa should be looking at similar development as well. Montreal doesn't have the best stadium either but currently their stadium is right in the middle of the city and apparently makes for a great atmosphere, so even with the sub-par stadium, I think they're fine where they are. Toronto has a great stadium as well (Rogers Centre) but it is too big for them and they could certainly go for something a bit smaller.
