It's nice to see a new tall tower go up in Hong Kong. All other Chinese cities are trying to catch up and surpass Hong Kong's skyscraper might.

Indeed. Hong Kong has so many highrises but is lacking in new supertall construction. Neighboring Shenzhen and Guangzhou are definitely on their way to surpass Hong Kong in supertalls unless Hong Kong steps it up.

Tall towers would attract terrorist to attack.

Okay, really? As far as I know, the old WTC buildings were the only skyscrapers and supertalls to be destroyed by a terrorist attacks. And I don't recall any large terrorist attacks in Hong Kong. Hong Kong has many tall buildings, and I doubt adding any more would cause many problems.

Now I understand why China is building hundreds of supertalls - to complicate their target choice

And when was the last time they attacked a supertall with the aim to severely damage or destroy it? When was the time they attacked Hong Kong?

There's also buses and subways and those have been attacked more than skyscrapers.

Oh, so now you're focusing on the buses and subways. And yes, Hong Kong has a lot of them. However, it has never happened...

Hong Kong's not exactly the most controversial place on earth. Most terrorists can't care less about attacking it- and I hope it remains that way. But are you really that against skyscrapers, buses, and subways? Everything has a certain risk, but in this case the benefits probably outweigh the risks by far.

This project is so secret. There's never a real rendering picture about the final buildings' design, but the construction has been started in full speed!

I was saying that no terrorist even attacked the subways or buses in HK, much less the skyscrapers.
