How come that a MB bus from 1992 and 2002 look identical? I mean those double deckers from HG.

[QUOTE=Perennial Quest;29440608]Some of them arrived in Milano a couple of weeks ago:

I still hadn't chance to take a ride on them.[/QUOT

Rome and Venice also have Citari. Venice's buses are articulated while Rome's are solo.

A bullbar is the trademark for that particular operator (Kangaroo Bus Lines), all of their fleet are similarly equipped. Probably more for show than anything else, but they operate mainly coaches and their urban services are in very low density areas with livestock about.

The year is when the photo was taken, not when the bus was built.

The newest Mercedes Busses in the VBZ (Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich / Zurich Transport)

These older (late 80s) Mercedes Benz Busses are used in Electrified and none electrified versions

The Boxer have Mercedes chassis with bodywork by Marcopolo, wich is a Brazilian make but as far as I know, it´s produced for the Mexican market only.

This articulated bus is very (99 times) intresting, on which chassis are those buses made? Personaly I don't like this kind of BRT because the bus is usless on regular route (other doors side).

São Paulo city has approximately 15,000 buses. The most common are Mercedez-Benz, Scania, Volkswagen and Volvo.

in singapore

i snatched the following pictures from SBS9684T's Singapore Gallery 2, an excellent repository for pictures of singapore buses.

SBS used to be the main operator of mercedes buses in singapore, but its new fleet is dominated by scanias, and some mans. SMRT is now the dominant mercedes operator.

my favourite mercedes benz bus in singapore - the Mercedes Benz O405G with a pininfarina designed Hispano Habit body. relatively old, not low floor, not wheelchair friendly, sub euro iv, but very pretty.

because its so pretty, it gets another picture - this time with an advert warning against mosquitos.

another 0405G but with a different, not so pretty hispano body.

yet another 0405G with another different hispano body

and another 0405G with a volgren body

singapore's first EURO V bus - Mercedes Benz OC500LE with a gemilang body. it seems to have rather small wheels that imo make it look rather cute

yes, go green with smrt!

and a very short visitor in singapore from perth - a promotional cng mercedes bus.

i hope i dont get in trouble for pinching so many pictures

Why do some countries have their own bodies built on mercedes chassis?
