I like it, but I can't believe such a design was chosen.

Isn't Madrid building another massive circle near the 'Main Four' cluster?

Bizarre design, but I really like it. Circle towers seem to be becoming increasingly more popular; look at the Aldar HQ building in the UAE for example. Great to see developers and investors still pursuing new and daring architecture even during the squeeze periods! - G

Siguen con las pruebas de fachada. Hay un materila menos brillante y liso y otro con "arrugas":

This has been a loooong time in coming, but it's looking good. Can't wait for it to be done so I can hop on the high-speed train and make the 1.5 hour trip from Valencia to see it in person.

A shiny new toy. No wonder Spain's economy is in shambles.

Yes....during the 1994-95 Mexican bank bailouts, when the Mexican government bailed out a large part of the banking operations of both its domestic banks and Mexican operations of foreign banks (in which BBVA, but also many US banks).

Not sure how that relates to the current crisis, unless you meant that Mexico ''bailed out'' BBVA, in the sense that BBVA having large profitable operations in Mexico, these profits offset the banks' real estate write-downs losses in Spain. This ultimately has much more to do with proper diversification compared to its smaller Spanish peers than anything else, which is completely normal for such a large corporation like BBVA.
