It might not be the best time to float an additional hotel proposal. The Baltimore Business Journal just had an article about Baltimore hotels and their recent struggles. Apparently, demand is way down at the same time that supply went up (with all the new hotels). It's bad across the country, but the article noted that it's worse here.

Well, as far as I'm concerned, the 1st one who builds their hotel, wins. I mean, no other project has a package deal that this hotel would offer. A new state-of-the-art arena, shopping, parking and a sweet designed hotel!!

As a comparison here are shots from 11-23 compared to 12-17...

11-23

12-17

11-23

12-17

As you can see, Four Seasons is still active but Legg is flying.

It seems that Legg has gained 3 new floors and 3 levels of glass, while 4s gained 2 new floors.

This is a beauty.

Love to see something similar for 10 Inner Harbor one day.

My wife's first reaction was: "That looks like something from Star Wars!"
She liked it, in other words.

Hey...... I don't remember starting this thread.... I guess I'm in charge of having to update the opening post now, eh?

1. Awesome arena proposal. Best proposal out there in my opinion - for a single structure anyway. I suppose Westport as a whole is more exciting.

2. Great pics, Del Soul. Some new interesting angles. I just arrived in Baltimore tonight. I'm gonna have to go exploring tomorrow. Unfortunately, I don't have my camera.

3. It was announced a few days ago that the Somerset apartments will be demolished. Any predictions about what the city will do with the property?

If that arena gets built and the Superblock gets built as currently proposed, I think the potential for the Westside will be in a league we never before imagined.

I think someone wants to build a new tallest there.
