Is it just me or has someone been caught making repetitive posts of the same projects. And BTW, what's with all these unprofessional 3D drawings?

Pictures of the soon to be complete "EuroCentre" (not EuroTower ) nearing completion. Zagrebs new CBD is flooding with many commercial buildings like this and a few big ones in between. Formerly the area between the Sava River and the old city centre was an industrial zone .....

Cool project.

Do you have any idea what they are going to do with buildings like those in the background in this picture:

I know in Belgrade, when some foreign companies purchase the building or a small part of it, they are sometimes obliged to fix it up as well. Maybe the owners of the EuroCentre should fix the building up.

Buildings like those in the background have been coming down in that neighbourhood. It all depends, recently a number were flattened for EuroTower's construction, other similar ones get a "free" cosmetic makeover care of the developer so as to improve the area around their projects.

What happens to the people living in the buildings? I mean they obviously don't get thrown out on the street, but ... They probably get bought out, right?

Just asking because I'm pretty sure some of them were rather reluctant to move out of their apartments.

Depends, some buildings are older style government owned housing. They are old and expensive to maintain, and therefore they get sold and the residents get relocated to better accomodation. Luckily these kind of buildings are far and few in Zagreb.

Of course, but that happens anywhere. A bunch of residents are standing in the way of another Zagreb skyscraper ... "Erste Bank" but there chances are slim as you cannot stop progress .....

See can we not have normal conversations like this without provoking each other? I mean I think the forums would be a lot better if we all weren't constantly arguing. So let's try and be nice, lol. Deal???

Unfortunately, this is not the case in Belgrade. I read about an 8 floor building that was supposed to be built, but the neighbours protested that it would ruin their "view", so the building was lowered to 4 or 5 floors. This has in fact happened on numerous ocassions.

Why are you confusing me with El Kommandante, I'm PyRoMaNiAc. Anyways, SinCity and I were having a civilized discussion about certain problems that can arise before construction even starts, so I don't see what the problem is.

Zagreb has an abundance of new office projects. You should also post some of the residential ones if you get the chance SinCity.

They should have built a tall project instead of a campus style building. Still it looks good.

I don't agree with you. For me it is better to construct few smaller buildings than one high-rise building.
