I wouldn't trust Wikipedia or Ryugyong. At least it looks 100% better.

As wide of a range of different types, styes, and colors of skyscrapers you think there are, they're really aren't that many truly unique ones. Except for ones like that staple shaped one in Beijing and a few others.

Is there one actually red facaded skyscraper in the world? Because it does look very cool. I really don't think there is, especially not one that red.

How about pink?

http://thepinkbuilding.com/

What would be really nice is if they could do a red LED lighting scheme at night on the Ryugyong Hotel. I am sure this building will be given all the electricity it needs.

Its appearance varies a lot with different lighting. It is red in the renders, and it appears red every now and then when the light shines a certain way.

^ L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, Spain.

4 supertall buildings with red glass were planned for Moscow Business centre, but i think plans are now abandoned.

They are the pretty pictures from Pyongyang.
One should pay tribute to North Korea that, despite all these circumstances still holds good.
I have seen many posts here dealing with a picturesque comparing economic systems. I have studied political science and I know how that some things in the world operate. North Korea until the mid-80s was better developed than South Korea. Today the country is faced with great insulation. If you are not a member country of the WTO can not export any pepper without being exposed to tariff. And to make you become a member of that organization, you must have a market economy. So capitalism has come to their historic victory.
Another thing, all communist countries were devastated in World War 2 or poor colony. The dollar after the war became a spare currency in the world, and Americans were able to finance its development on the basis of inflation. Printing dollars.
It is particularly ungrateful now compare two economic systems, if you do everything that the communism fails.

I love the shape of this building. The only thing that makes me sad, and sort of confused/stunned, is that the tallest building on the Korean Peninsula is still in North Korea, not South Korea. Doesn't make much sense to me, but either way, this place will make an amazing hotel as soon as it becomes possible to easily visit North Korea/there no longer is a "North" (or "South") Korea.

Provided it is structurally sound, which is likely to remain an open question for a while.

Without Communism or North Korea, that building would never even have been built, in future if they build somthing bigger and better don't complain like you did. Korea will be united by DPRK, and you can visit NK easy, unless your Goerge Bush or Obama, then we have huge a problem.lol

I still hope you are just trying to provoke everybody on this forum... As far as I remember you are from Lithuania - a country which suffered a lot in the past bacuse of the communism. I don't understand how you can be in favour of such totalitarian system which killed millions of people in your and surrounding countries.

By the way, shouldn't this guy be banned for promoting political system responsible for the highest death tool in the history? Communists symbols are forbidden in many countries and should not be allowed on this forum either.

I am really sorry for this off-topic but I just can't stand stupid comments of this guy anymore.

The building itself is amazing.

Capitalism killed everyone !!! How could i have been saved by capitalism when it killed everyone!!!!! Capitalism is your dealer and your a capitalist user but true. Your promoting capitalism by wanting to ban me. All your doing is picking on Communists to try to prove your political system is so "cool" (its lame), scince you can't think of anything better to do and your afraid of actualy bulleing people where you live, and that would be dangerous for you. Or you could just be trying to prove what some americans said about how good capitalism is. Another thing: why would you go on a Communist country's skyscraper page and try to prove capitalism.. thats just ridiculous. Just go watch that "One World Trade Center" thread or whatever and leave this alone. And this is not off-topic, i am protecting myself from capitalism and protecting Communist building, scince it is tied to Communism and symbolizes Communism. That was a bit to brief, but i can make it longer (about maybe 2 pages.)
