I see a 'newish' looking crane working at the front of the building. I'd love to see some close up pictures of what they are working on.

Comparing it to the height of the floors below, I'd say the thing on top has a height of about 15 meters.

Thanks for the photos. To me it looks like they have have not covered that section up in order to easily supply goods to work on the inside.

The picture posted above by kanye is unusual in that the angle is looking almost edge-on to one of the wings. For some reason most photos show just one face. It just occurred to me that this building looks kind of like the head of a modern hunting arrow:

So the building is being finished, but still will not be used at all? What a waste of a good mega-building. What are the building's owners smoking, endo? I don't want to derail this thread, but if there were a unified Korea, this should be used as a modern hotel, or probably an apartment complex. How about the building is finished, but will remain closed until Korean reunification in say, I dunno... never?

The subject of this article (Ryugyong Hotel) is controversial and content may be in dispute.

Hhahahah
If I was South Korea, I would built some huge skyscrapers next to the Korean border, to show people from north what they're missing.

Seoul and Incheon are close enough to the border to be seen from a hill in NK on a clear day, especially the skyline.

The Koreans probably think that's the tallest structure ever built.

Ryugyong is the tallest building in Korea (both Northern and Southern), this says something about something
