The building is going to be maybe not beatiful, but different from everything I know... but the surroundings of it are depressing and decaying, as we can see in the pic.

I loved the incomplete Hotel. So completing it would kind of diminish its allure in my eyes. It was one stunning looking structure. I hope the cladding would make it look stunning, albeit in a different way. One of my favorite buildings!

not a lot of people visit the DPRK and if they do, I don't know if they allow you to photograph this building. Most visitors are perminantly guided by at least to localpeople and they tell you what you can photograph and what not.
But if you can be patient till summer 2010 then I will try to take some pictures. Will visit North Korea for a week then.

The ceilings must be low to fit 105 floors into 330 metres.

I agree, I think this is a design masterpiece.

I think the finished facade will look beautiful against a clear blue sky.

Hopefully as time and policies change, we'll see many more of this types of master pieces to come in this country.

and I truly think and definitely hope that this day is on its way.

And I don't think it'll even be a miracle, just inevitability.

Not that much different, John Hancock in Chicago is 100 floors and 344 meters.

Aon is 346 meters and 83 floors but it is office.

Office floors are generally higher per floor than residential.

Well, the ceilings would have been even lower to fit 105 floors into 300 metres of height. A supertall building's floor-to-ceiling height should be no less than 3 metres.

Nha it probably will be never used, they are just going to clad it, so it looks finished from the outside.

They are using it as a signal to the world that it's going good with Nord Korea.

More trouble for this country to come, more trouble for the safety of the tower too,.
