Yes, you can only judge the cosmetics (how the edges look), but not the status (strength, or lack of it)

Whaat do you have? Nothing of the above, except a town house that iis even more dangerous in case of earthquakes, then the big tower in this thread would ever be.

Yeas, it's a mater of physics, shock waves and amplifying resonances .... if you understand a word i say
MY engineering background and knowledge tells me that the shape of this building would actually give it awesome stability in the event of an earthquake, but only if the structure itself is sound.
As you said you can't judge that from photos, but that applies equally to you as well. You have no basis for asserting "It's just cosmetic, nothing else.", other than wishful thinking.
Like I said, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near it after seeing those pics. They may or may not show only superficial damage, but in the absence of an authorative study showing otherwise I would believe the evidence I can see.

Yes about the second part of the post, but about statues, don't you also have tons of them? Of people who have masacred and killed an mass? Isn't Admiral Nelson one of your statued heroes?

Anyway, hello, it's about the tower, not the place ... hello, can you hear me there?

Anyone know what the tallest tower in the city is beside Ryugyong? I wanted to get an idea of how much taller it is compared to everything else in the city limits.

Skyscraper sin cos tan calculation = [(Total width - Reverse width) - Open-air width] / sin cos tan angle = Skyscraper height as compatible width.

A. sin cos tan angle 30 = 2.828 , 45 = 2.121 and 60 = 1.414

B. width 30 = x5 , 45 = 7.5 and 60 = x10
