It's big but several of the ones in Las Vegas are much bigger. I don't know about any anywhere else but biggest certainly has them beat with several existing hotels and more on the way.

Finally some work on this building, looks like something from Space that landed on Earth. Space Odyssey-esque

Anyways, I hope the structural integrity holds out after all these years of neglect.

there we go... one poster permanently banned, the other back in the brig for complaining.

lets see
1) warned first in the thread several pages back to not do political discussions and
2) to then posters get brigged and then and
3) forumer insults the admin.

Isn't this building already topped out? I thought they're just doing the interior now and cladding the building. But if that's right why does it say U/C or am I wrong?

This isn't very recent, but I believe it hasn't been posted yet:

I don't know why, but somehow I like it. It's not beautiful by any means, but it does look quite large and impressive.

i love how the building looks kinda evil, like North Korea

anyways, who do they expect to stay in that hotel? i have a feeling this is going to even further drain their already small economy...

As I said in an architecture thread, it looks like a building Dr. Evil would build. It is a shame it will be a hotel instead of the palace of the supreme premier comrade leader etc.

The problem with this building is the design that was made many years ago when there were fewer supertall buildings. It would have made a symbolysm of the power of North Korea. Since the erection lasted for a long time, they are finishing it at the moment when no one is amazed with its height and the design looks just old-fashioned and ugly. It was just a stupid investment of money...
