Great shots. I didn't realize Pyongyang was such a beautiful city.

Lots of willow trees, I've noticed.
And I wonder what's up with the blue roofs I've seen many Asian cities put up?

Yeah, the GTC image a few days ago showed an Indian city where every other building had blue rooves. I haven't seen them in person, so I have no idea what material they're composed of.

I'd love to visit the building.
Is there a restaurant at the top?
Is it going to be a hotel?

Me too, I'm fairly certain there will be a restaurant as a tourist attraction/observation area but the plans for the hotel are currently on hold. Hopefully they'll start back soon.

You should like your own posts once in a while jk.

That fountain reaches a considerable height... around 70mts is my guess? The Mansudae area looks great as well and the Ryugyong in the background makes it even better.

No, it's only topped out right now and has stalled yet again. Work hopefully will pick back up again soon. I seem to recall that it originally was put on hold for financial reasons and that the original building cost back in the '80s was 2% of N. Korea's GDP. The building takes such a big chunk out of the country's budget it's undoubtedly unprecedented for them to have started building it in the first place. I'm just glad it has made it this far.

In time, it'll be used. The tourism industry, although still small, has been growing in NK.

I'm quite sure he was referring to the other buildings shown in the pictures, not the Hotel itself

The building has very original design. It doesn“t look like typical skyscraper, but like modern, biggest pyramid in the world and the best pyramid since Cheops times
