Wouldn't the top be able to spin around? I heard somewhere, but like it looks now it doesn't seem to be able to turn around.

Quick question, does anyone know where they are getting the cladding? Or is it made in the DPRK?

So who's going to stay there? People eat dirt and plants in North Korea but the most important thing is they finished the shiny hotel so the whole world can witness the advancement of North Korea .

OMG! Somehow the simple fact that the glass shimmers is quite amazing, and beautiful!

It looks quite beautiful, but how did they afford such a thing? They could have spent all this money to help the poor.

If I'm not mistaken, the hotel is being finished with private funds, not by the NK government.

The top itself doesn't spin, but the 7 floors under the top (the ones under the green nets) will turn around (originally).

WoW! I underestimated this building due to its location and of course, its been awhile since they constructed this building. I am totally amazed. This is way better than I expected. It may look way much better once its completed.

Like it or not, the fact is that their economy is finally recovering which allows them to finish the hotel. Also, 30% of the Pyongyang residents are already using mobile phones (service started last December) and within the next 3 years 100,000 new homes will be constructed in Pyongyang.

Is there a chance that this country will turn mild in terms of socialism and adapt Deng Xiaopeng's system of communism / capitalism and make people more freely than before?

FYI. This is not an ignorant question / unfair. I live in United States. That doesn't mean i hated North Korea. I just don't like their system.
